Most of the rose breeder had not given permisson for selling their protected rose varieties, before
we entered the EU, against that the production of those warieties took place here in Hungary!
So, Szőregi Virág-Dísznövény ÁFÉSZ has gained proper experience in the production
of these varieties inthe last 10 years. All plants on sale were produced here in Szőreg or its neighbourhood,
so you buy Hungarian product, if you decide to decorate your garden with these plants.
Furthermore, it guarantees that the plants are acclimatized to the Hungarian climatic
and soil conditions. So, no unpleasant experience will be gained after you have planted them.

Earlier if you wanted to buy these new rose varieties, you had to go abroad and above it you had to pay considerable sums, since the cataloge price of these roses easily can reach 7 to 15 EURO-s / piece. Our firm intends to sell them at a much lower price, with which we would like to achive two goals. First, we would like to make these varieties available for those Hungarian rose lovers, who have lower average income, since we believe that we can serve our other goal through it, that a new kind of garden culture will be formed, which makes it impossible to sell low quality nursery goods in the Hungarian market.
The classification of rose varieties is a very dubious question even among the specialists, due to the intensive crossing and selection programs. The Meilland-Richardier applies a very simple method in their catalogues. The first category they use is "Rosiers á grandes fleurs" which means that they produce large flowers. They might be hybrid teas or classic old rose shaped ones. The second group is the "Rosiers á fleurs groupées", which means that they produce their flowers in bouquets, like polyanthas and floribundas. The third cartegory is "Rosiers grimpants", which means climber roses. It is also marked by the GPT abbreviation before the commercial name of the variety. The fourth group name is "Rosiers paysagers", which means carpet or landscaping roses.
We can keep our prices low, due to the successful sales of the first few years! Last year we had to correct our prices due to the increase of VAT.
